My BUL M5(which I bonded with in two weeks) has blued components now and the slide release looks like some solvent sat too long in a few places.

I can't have that being an anal retentive type of guy and all.

So ordered up some nice McCormick stainless stuff to replace the blue and give the poly framed gun a little pizazz.
I have been a technician all my adult life(computers, copiers, printers etc) and I'm used to doing fairly delicate repairs. Will the new parts, especially the ambi-safety require any mods to work in my McCormick equipped BUL? If so, if the McCormick stuff is produced to identical dimensions, would just reproducing the fitted areas on the existing peices be a good plan?
