I have an Auto Ordnance 1911 Standard model. The slide stop on mine keeps working itself loose after about 6 rounds. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to get a slide stop & possible one with an oversized shaft/pin.

Thanks.

Good points as we have grown to expect from you guys

sometimes on Para's for instance, we weld a small pad under the slide stop to limit how far down it can travel. this keeps it from getting out from under the slide also.

Another option. If you're using a two-hand hold and the slide to frame fit is really loose, you could be pushing that slide stop out and not realize it. Getting a new stop wouldn't completely cure it in that case. You'd need to either lower the frame rails to move the slide lower on the frame, change your hold, or....weld a pad on the bottom of the lever to limit it's travel as George suggested. OR, maybe the tab on your slide stop is just too short and a new one would solve the problem.
