I was shooting my Springfield Armory MIA, it was an early model, when the bolt cracked. Several pieces of bolt and springs flew in different directions. It happened so fast I did not have time to flinch. Sent the rifle back to Springfield with what parts I could find and they put in a new bolt and returned it at no charge. A few months ago traded it for a Scout Squad MIA. Since then I always wear shooting glasses.
