Actually, they are generally not considered as such, even though they have been trending towards a larger viewership than the "accepted" MSM.
I usually(like Rush) like to call them the "drive-by media". It is quite descriptive, plus, I don't think "mainstream" really describes them, considering that it denotes the average person agreeing with their POV.
