Question... Can a 45 breechface be welded up to make a 38 Super breechface? I know it may be less expensive to simply buy a new slide, but thought I would ask the question. I have a 45 Slide that I am considering for a conversion.

Also, anyone have the measurements for the Firiing Pin hole to case support distance? i have what I believe is a 40/10mm Commander length slide, due to breechface size, but would like to make sure.
