I just bought a Dillon 650 and all the necessary stuff and am ready to load. I have an open class STI 40 cal racer and a limited class 40 cal customized Edge that need some good food. If you dont mind, I could use recipes that have worked well for you with 185-200 grain bullets (looking at the 200 grain montana gold and 185 grain laser-cast).

Many thanks,
Jeff

You have some awesome machinery there, enjoy! I know I enjoy my STI toys.

I would think about running a lower bullet weight, like a 135 or 140 gr bullet in the open gun to run the comp better with the gas pressure, and the conventional wisdom with the top limited shooters is using the 180ish grain bullets loaded out to around 1.200 with a faster burning powder. I know Titegroup works well for me. Good luck, half the fun is figuring out what your guns like!

Many thanks for your replies - this is truly a first class board. As a result of your feedback I ordered 1k of Laser-Cast 140 grain and 2k of 185 grain Laser-Cast to go "feet wet".

Thanks again,
Jeff
