I am looking for a Gold Bead front sight for my PM 9. I emailed Keith and he said either a standard Springfield cut or Standard Novak cut would work with a little fitting.

My questions:
-Is there a standard blade height for these sight ?
- If not, what height should I order?
- Has anyone else done this? If so, would you let me know what sight you
- bought and where you bought it?

I have gold beads on my other 1911's and I love them.

You have to get a hold of a pair of calipers to determine the height of the front sight currently installed - if that height has been working for you. You could try to email DW to find out the height they install - but if it were me - I'd want it measured.

The Springfield cut shouldn't require any any fitting. I'd contact Dawson Precision and ask if they can supply - or make - a gold dot sight. If they can't they probably can point you in the right direction.

If you're going to do this yourself you'll need, IIRC, a 1/16" roll pin punch (and a new roll pin because sometimes they can't be reused - and a nylon tipped punch to tap out the installed sight. Or you could ask Dawson to do it by mailing them the slide only - which can be done by Priority Mail.
