We polish the feed ramp.
Take a feel on your steel follower. If it's "black" steel, it's probably a little "sticky." I have a couple McCormick Shooting stars and a 6 rd. SA UltraCompact. The UC had a small "tit" in the middle of the follower. It looks like where the machine holds the part in registration while it's stamped.
I polished out the protrusion and then cleaned up the surface of the follower. Now it's slick and smooth, a lot smoother than the stock black finish McCormicks.
I was getting FTF on the last round of the UC mag -- short OAL LRN reloads. With the follower polished, this has ceased.

What part of "shall not be infringed" needs 'splainin' ???
