Posting my SW1911TA E-Series here, I'd figure I would share with my nice 1911 community!

Each of us sees what we want, when putting a pistol together. I like what I see here the contrasting parts. To sights and grips.

A S&W 1911 is one of the more under-rated 1911's on the market. They are well built, and look nice (compared to some others). They shoot great, function reliably, and reasonably priced for the many features they have. Good choice for you, don't listen to the naysayers.

Congratulations on your toy. Deck it out however you like it. If the naysayers were to want to criticize your choice of guns and/or accessories then they can go ahead and send you what they think is best.

Thats a nice well kitted 1911, S&W make good 1911s and as GP noted very unappreciated. A friend of mine uses one as his #1 carry 45acp. The grips look great!

External extractor is such a simple improvement on the original design, I’m surprised it isn’t more popular.

Great looking shooting iron. Remember, Baskin-Robbins has 31 flavors because everybody has a different notion of "what's good"

Sweet! I like the finger groove grips.

I also have the E-Series SS and what a sweet shooter it is. It's never choked on any ammo, very reliable, accurate and should be priced higher for what it is, SHHHH...don't tell S&W.

Happy for you. I also have a S&W E series. Very reliable and accurate gun if I do my part. Like you I added a few things to make it better for me- I added a Dawson Precision FO front sight, a magwell and G10 grips.

I agree with others, S&W makes a great 1911 that is very underrated

They're customer made by Hudson River Valley customs, I wanted the same look as the stock grips because I fell in love with the fish scales, but with the finger groove design since it's more comfortable for me. I'm very proud

E-Series guns are great guns, and that one looks good. Congrats! You'll always find folks who like to criticize. If it's not constructive and well-intentioned, then the best thing to do is simply ignore them altogether. Eventually, they will go away.

I have the two-toned commander E series. Great guns, very under rated.
Make sure to run at least 500 rounds through it before you carry it though, the plunger tubes have a habit of coming unstaked. Easy fix though.

E Series are solid. I have a bobbed one and love it. Enjoy yours!

To hell with how it’s looks, I wanna know do you carry it an hows it shoot?

I have three S&W pistols - all very well made and laser accurate. And their lifetime warranty is a great bonus.
