Jim,

I have the Premier II Ltwt and am wondering what the service life of the aluminum frame would be...I know it's a bit load dependant.
I know of Colts that have over 100K through them. Since the Premier II Ltwt has a ramped barrel that should help.

By the way, Love the pistol. Have sold several students on them.

Well I'll try to answer this one as best as I can.As to your pII LT.WT. this is somewhat of a rare model for us. WE do far more commanches and stingers in alum. not sure why as a 5inch lightweight is a favorite if mine as well.I have seen lots of our steel framed guns owned by customers that have 30,40,50 thousand rounds through them with no problems. Does this mean that a aluminum fram will hold up as well? I don't know, but I don't remember replacing one that failed in the last five years or so . Maybe some of the people on this forum have Ltwt. guns with a lot of rounds on them and they could post thier findings.

Jim, I once had a Concept IX with a soft frame. Never could get it to run. Do you see many of these?
