Dealer's wholesale cost on those is usually $800. If you find somebody selling them for $820 jump on it. Just remember that somebody has to do the FFL transfer for you, and a lot of dealers don't appreciate doing transfers for people who chose to shop elsewhere. A better idea would be to to take the ad to your local dealer and try to get them to match the price. Either that or offer to buy it from them at 5% over cost, and be willing to purchase some ammo, mags, etc. so they will at least feel you're allowing them to make some money off the deal. I say this as a computer retailer who often gets customers who expect me to sell to them at or below cost, as if I'm not supposed to actually get a paycheck every week.
I am not a kiss-butt or groupie, but I must say that your web site ROCKS. You have a lot of very helpful information and I will keep visiting. IOW, I am impressed.
Thanks for the compliments, BTW. No, there's no pictures of Defenders but there is one of a plain-jane M1991A1. The one pic of an Argentine pistol is a dated one of an original (not-refinished) DGFM-(FMAP) marked Sistema. The site is aimed primarily towards actual US military-issue pistols.
