Not a complaint, just a simple question.

I have noticed that whenever a thread gets to be longer than 2 pages, or about 70-80 posts, it is locked to save space. I think I read that the mods try to not let threads get larger than 100k.

So my question is: what's the difference between having one 200k thread or two 100k threads? (Assuming the two 100k threads are about the same topic.)

Just curious.

On a slower machine it takes longer to load a very long page...it is even worse if there are a lot of pics on the page.

Ah, good point. Sometimes I forget that not everyone has an Ethernet T1 connection like me.
