Looking for info on a .22 rifle. Ordered from Sears & Roebuck in 1938 for the price of $3.55. Has the word "Ranger" stamped on left side of breech. This is a bolt action single shot chambered for .22 short, long, or long rifle. Was wondering what company made these for Sears. Thanks in advance! cec

If you can find the Sears model number on the gun, then you can look up the manufacturer and manufacturer's equivalent part number on the cross reference table listed here:

OK. Checked out the cross reference list and can see the Rangers listed, but can not find a model number on rifle. The catalogue item number is 6K265 which, evidently, is not what I need. Thanks for the replies, any other place I can search?
