I'am just about ready to lay away a RZB with a S/N in the low
3XX range.

I just read a write up on a sub 2XX RZB with fixed sights in a non
major gun rag, and have been reading all the posts on the net.

Some questions:

Has the adjustable rear site screw diameter problem been
resolved? I heard something to the effect that some owners were
tapping to a larger diameter for better adjustment.

I'am impressed with the RZBs' rear site cut. I would consider
a Kimber, but their cut is really Bush! league.

I just bought a used stock DE for around $600, but I'am thinking very, very seriously about selling the DE and getting a RZB.

Greetings rkamp:
Cannot address the rear sight screw diameter issue, as it hasn't been a problem in my experience. Hopefully, someone here with 1st hand experience will chime in.

I like Delta Elites as well; in fact, just purchased another one two days ago. Found it brand new in the box with all the goodies, and purchased it from a private party. Not even a mark on the mag followers. :D They are certainly nice guns, but, to be truthful, they are not the equal of the Razorback in terms of fit and accuracy. I believe potthawg sold his D.E. when he purchased an RZ-10. Don't know if he regrets that or not. Take care.

My understanding of the rear sight screw issue was that it affected the Novak-style sights and not the Bomar-style. Plus the issue was with the set screw being too soft in the hex (allen head screw) and it would strip before you could get the sight tight enough to stay. DW has sent new screws out to those that ask in the past.

ahem

I sure love my RZ, but I've also always wanted a Delta Elite too. Alas, that dream may never come true unless I, ahem, find one for sale someplace.

Thanks for all your responses.

I just bought a RZB S/N 3XX on line and should
have it in about 2-3 weeks.

Belisarius,

How many rounds through your RZB?

Does the RZB have the frame cut above the slide
stop like the Deltas? [email protected]

My friend Diver is correct about me selling a very nice Delta Gold Cup after recieving my Razorbacks. No regrets at all.

The RZ is a better fitted pistol by far. It is much more accurate too.
While I didn't fire #56 I have put about 7 or 8 hundred rounds through RZ#55. It has been flawless.

I am a Colt snob but the RZ is quite a pistol for the money.

The dealer just informed me that the gun I purchased is in
the 24X s/n range.

My DE should be in on Wed. and the first thing I was going to
do was change the trigger group ($150), then add bomars
($250), and then .........

For $770 the RZB makes a lot of sense, and if it only needs the
extractor tweeked then I may buy another.

I am also a pistol snob, but know that when its right its right
regardless of brand recognition.

The rear sight (adjustable) is a standard 6-48 thread as used on the majority on this style of sight. Tapping it out bigger??? I have not heard of. But it is a standard gun tap/thread.

Thanks,
Bob
