I'm ordering from Brownells and want to include additional recoil springs for my compact and full size protectors. I have only used springs ordered directly from Wilson in the past (to match their stock springs) for both guns. My practice load is S&B 230gr FMJ and my carry load is Federal HydraShok 230gr.

Brownells sells Wolff springs. Are these any good, or is there a different manufacturer you recommend (or should I just stick with Wilson springs although Brownells does not sell them individually).

What size/weight(#) have you had the best results with in these two handguns.

Thanks.

First of all, I would call Wilson to find out what they put in as their stock spring for your particular model. On my full size Protector Stainless and KZ-45, I put the 20lb. Recoil sping in mine. Works great in reducing recoil. Will cycle 185, 200 and 230Gr rounds...no problem!

Dillion Press has a deal on Shooter's Packs: http://dillonprecision.com/template/p.cfm?maj=57&min=2&dyn=1& . You get the recoil sping and firing pin spring for $7.25

Good luck, and good shooting! ;-)
