will a 22 lb wolf work in a pro carry 2? i've got a full size spring, how many coils do i need to cut it down to, I know a commander is 26, should it be 24 for a 4" gun? I used a 22lb in a 4" springfield, can't remember how many coils it had tho.

Why?

Springs are not measured by the number of coils. They are measured by tensil strength which depends on the thickness and metalurgy of the wire.

Wolff has springs for Kimber both regular and extra strength and they are about $ 8.00.

Your asking for a timing problem by attempting to cut down a full size spring.

22 lb is factory replacement for 4" barrel. I recently replaced my springs with a Wolff XP spring made especially for compacts (4"). It comes with an XP firing pin spring as a kit for about $8 at Brownells. Works perfectly in my Kimber Compact.
