What do you use? I have an extra Trijicon Reflex II in the box on my closet shelf that needs a home. Should/can I mount atop the Remington? Also, who makes better irons for these? The factory sights leave alot to be desired. This will be used for playing with clays and home defense.

When it comes to shotguns, I know very little. I can blow the hell out of clays, and defend the home front, but other than that I could use a bit of help.

D...My favorite shotgun setup for home/general defense is an 870 with 20" Rem barrel & stock rifle sights. Will put a 1 oz. slug into a pie plate at 100 yards all day. Point shooting with buckshot is natural. Change out the barrel for your clays.

I changed out the factory rifle sights for standard dot XS Express Sights.

A much better system. The standard dot is better for shotguns than the big dot, which will cover the entire target at ranges in excess of 25 yards.
