Forgive me if this has been asked before, but this is my first time in the "Ammo Can".
What is the difference between regular Remington ammo as opposed to UMC?
The UMC stuff is cheaper.. I experience quite a few UMC rounds that have the bullets seated too deeply.. So maybe "quality control" is your answer, and the difference between the two.. -Gilmore
Several years ago Guntest magazine did a test on the "generic" brands of ammo. They found them to be functionally identical to the major brand. They stated that the reason the rounds are culled into the generic bin is that they have some minor cosmetic flaws (ie-UMC is Remington with some cosmetic flaws an inspector spotted).
