I am looking to do a poor mans trigger job and replace the mainspring with a 19# spring. Other than possibly having to replace the firing pin and spring do I need to replace anything else if I have the ILS housing? If I do end up having to replace the firing pin, Springfield uses the 9mm/38 Super pin right?

I'm pretty sure you can't just slap a 19# spring in there without replacing all the ILS guts 'cuz the spring is a different length than standard.

Springfield uses the special Springfield firing pin.

You can keep the ILS MSH.

All you need is a new mainspring cap, mainspring cap pin, and a mainspring pin retainer. All of them can be purchased at Brownells for about $1.40 each.

If you do not have an issue with the ILS housing and system in general, Wolff makes the springs for the full size with ILS system. My loaded model had 28# factory. Wolff has 24, 26, 28 and 30# mainsprings so you just need to change spring only (for just "a cheap trigger job")
