Hello. I'm the owner of a DW model PMA-B and so far it's been a very nice performer, certainly more accurate than any other 1911 in its price range. I'm curious as to the type of steel used in the cast frames, the RC scale hardness of them, and if it's strong enough to handle .45 Super loads.

No problem with using the 45 Supers. The Pistol will handle it fine. You may though want to move the recoil spring tension up to 19 or 20 pound if you are going to use a constant diet of Supers. Just make sure as you move up with spring tension that the slide still locks back for you on last round.

Thanks,
Bob

Thenks for the reply. I don't intend to abuse any of my 1911s with very hot loads, but it's certainly comforting to know that it can handle it.
