Anybody familiar with these guys? I read their information and just bought two of their 16-round grips to try out.

Will take a couple of weeks to get them, but when I do I'll post a report.

Never heard of them.

Too bad they don’t have the hi caps for the RIA 9mm.

Looks like Rock Island actually has them in stock.

Magazines - 1911 Magazines - 40 S&W - Advanced Tactical

Kinda funny, when I was building a .40 cal last year they didn't have any double stack .40 cal mags for almost 6 months. Now I'm kicking around the idea of slapping a 9mm together, and guess what I can't find hide nor hair of...Maybe it's God's way of telling me to stick with His caliber, the .45 ACP.

This guy is the go to guy for magazines. I use him all the time and he usually has many of the hard to find ones. Ships fast and I have never had a problem. The last mag I purchased was for a RIA Ultra FSHC in 10mm, the same mag you are looking for. I received it 3 or 4 days later. These are RIA factory mags, not modified mags made to work. I believe he is out of Florida.
While I have heard nothing but good about these guys, I just received 2 45 cal., 14 rnd magazines from them. What's the problem? I ordered 2 of the 10 mm (R.IA) 16 rnd mags.I have no use for 45 mags, but they charged me $98.28, total for the mags that I ordered, and those are what are on the packaging, and the invoice. But some dipsquawt put the wrong mags in the package.
Why am I receiving no response to my problem as described here in? This is totally on you folks. All I did, was to put up my money, in good faith, expecting nothing less from you. What else do I need to do? I am the last person, who would wish to make this turn ugly, but I will not accept things like they are now. Please respond.
Well, if the person who sold you these is a forum member, you might send them a message. The rest of us "folks" have nothing to do with your transaction.

I am simply attempting to receive an answer from ronin's grips. I purchased these magazines from this site, the high capacity 10 mm mags that are advertised, for RIA Pistols that many of you may be considering ordering. I ordered (2) of these mags, and paid $98.28 for them, total, but did not receive what I ordered. Maybe this is not the proper forum. I am not very technologically capable, and thought that I had found the place to resolve this issue. I would have expected folks to be helpful, perhaps offering guidance. But, you seem to be offering scorn, as if I did something of a malign nature. Are things so bad, that people now feel inclined to woo those who they may need, at the expense of their peers?
There was no scorn intended. Just stating the obvious. I would contact Ronin's Grips directly.
This is totally on you folks.
If your quote is directed at the forum or it's members you have made a mistake. A mistake was possibly made in fullfilling your order. Have you tried loading one of them yet? When you contact them I'm sure it will be taken care of. I bought one of these myself. Complete with a note stating "Even though the mag may sayP-14-45, the feed lips have been modified for use with RIA A2 HC pistols"
I have not used mine yet but it holds 10mm just fine.

Who do you think you're talking to??

This is an internet forum for people to talk about Rock Island 1911s. We are just random shmoes. We don't work for Rock Island or Ronin's Grips.

What do you expect any of us to do about your problem with Ronin's Grips?

Go get some breakfast at Denny's and tell everyone there your problem, then tell them it's totally on them and ask them why they aren't helping you.

sheesh
I own Ronin's Grips and just saw this - I was searching for something else and happened to stumble on the thread and wanted to close the loop.

I custom modify the longer Mec-Gar MGP144514AFC magazines to properly feed 10mm and .40 S&W for the RIA A2 HC style pistols. Because they start as Mec-Gar P14-45 mags they are indeed stamped .45 and I have no way to change the stamping without making a mess - the tubes are hardened steel. The product page on my website and the product zip loc-style bag packaging all state the tube will have .45 stamped on it but have been modified. I actually do not sell a .45 magazine to avoid a mix up.

The frustrated fellow posting above was livid and contacted me via Facebook and email repeatedly certain that I was trying to scam him. I eventually gave him a full refund when he told me he tried them and they wouldn't work. Could I have made a mistake with the feed lip changes and he had a problem or could there have been something unique about his pistol that caused a feed problem? Yes - hence the full refund. He blocked me before we could talk further.

I am only posting this here so people know that customer service is important to me and I wasn't scamming anybody. By the way, also sorry to say I rarely have time to read forums any longer.
