Help- Rough spot on slide rail..

I recently picked up a Kimber Pro Raptor; very nice piece. Upon taking it down, I always like to run my fingers down the contact areas on the slide rails and frame to feel for any rough spots. There is a small 'grain of sand' size speck of metal on the bottom of one of the slide rails.

Is this something I should be concerned with? Should I try to file it down myself? If so, what is the best method? Or should that area get worn down over the break-in period?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Big Red,
Showing us a pic would really help. Unless that protrusion is actually scraping the frame rails and leaving a nasty mark, I'd leave it alone. Yes, you should be able to flatten that w/ the use of a arkansas or ceramic stone, but without a pic, I just can't tell.
