Looking at getting into the 1911 scene and have narrowed it down to a couple of guns.

Would like to here what you think the pros and cons of each of the above are.

The distributor I talked to has informed me that he only has external extractor Custom IIs available.

Also I hear that the Kimber IIs are not "true 1911s" because of the firing pin stops. Are the Springfield Armory Loaded pistols "true 1911s"?

Personally I would quickly pick up a 25th anniversary Kimber Custom between the two manufactures, The 25th's are modeled after the awesome Kimber series I no firing pin safety no external extractor. Other than that model I would go with the Loaded. I believe that they are both "true" 1911s but with changes that had to be made. I guess what I am saying is if it were me picking the weapon the 25th would be mine between the two. :p
