Hi All,
I'm new to this board, been hanging out at the SIG forum for awhile. But I have a chance to get a new S/S Gold Match in .40 for x-mas. (With Wife's Approval). My question is how does the Kimber shoot and hold up in .40 vrs .45? I'm trying to stay with the .40 caliber, that why I'm not looking into the .45 Also the Gold Match seems to be the only Kimber made in .40 with an ambi-saftey, is this correct?

Thanks All, BST

Dummy:
Run dont walk to nearest firearms emporium for a Gold Match 40. I have a Classic Target in 40 as well as GM 45. I had the factory add an ambi plus checker the front strap 30 lpi on the 40. They are the same gun(except for looks) and now at 3000+ rounds of 40 with no jams or malfunctions. VERY accurate.
It's the ticket.

BST, I would not spend the extra $ for the GM. I have had a .40 CT for over a year. It is one of the most accurate 1911s I have ever owned. The gun will group under 1" @ 25 yds with the right loads. Finally found some 10 rd .40 mags.
