I am new to the 1911 and am thinking og buying a S/W 1911. Being a Ma resident its currently the only new 1911 availible in this State. What parts are compatable with other 1911's ? What parts on the gun are availiable only from Smith and Wesson? Does anybody have a photo of one of these thats been customized?

Other than the sights, external extracter and firing pin safety it's pure 1911. As far as customized ones I haven't seen to much done to these yet other than different triggers and grips. I will say this it's a damn good gun right out of the box. I've had mine since Feb and it has yet to disapoint me.
