My local shop has a S&W AR with a price tag of 899, but I noticed that S&W is running a 100 dollar rebate right now on them.

What'cha think? Can I find it for $800 somewhere and get the rebate on top of that?

$700-$800 for a new S&W AR (and the associated warranty) is a pretty good deal as far as I can tell.

That's fine. 800? Which 1911? My Loaded Springer can be had for 550 roughly.

But yea, I'm looking for an AR.

Are you talking about the MP 15? if you are from what ive been told the MP is made for S&W by stag arms.

The Smith & Wesson AR's are no longer being made by Stag.
Smith & Wesson is now making them "in house".
The rebate is $100 off...no matter what you pay for the rifle...I gave $936 for mine a few weeks back. S&W the best AR buy on the market. Quality parts, good fit, very accurate rifle (mine is).
