I seem to remember that S&W made a VERY cool looking revolver, kind of a new take on LE revolvers, black finish, right rail etc.

Been a couple of years since I was actively looking, and now it seems it's no longer found on their website...

Is it already discontinued?

That sure is a strange looking gun. Especially the picture with the Aimpoint and the light/laser under the barrel. Looks like something from the 80s when they pictured guns in the future like in Predator 2.

I love that pistol. Either that or a Remington 870 synthetic will be my next purchase in the next month or so.

Knut,

The 8-shot revolver is allowed, but you can't load it with more than 6 rounds.
Ay, therein lies the rub.
Since I'm a revolver novice, it would be another distraction to have to position the cylinder to make sure the next hammer drop isn't onto an empty chamber, the speedloaders won't be full etc.
Using a regular ole 6-round cylinder would be easier.
For me, on IDPA matches, that is.
The real world doesn't factor into it...
