I'm in the market for either a SA Professional or a Les Baer Super Tac. I found a new Pro with light rail for $2000 shipped. The Super Tac is lnib and is $1600. I plan on using them for CCW and possible duty use. Light rail aside, which do you think I should get? Thanks.

I'd go with the Professional. It has a lifetime warranty (the Baer doesn't have a warranty at all), the rail could be handy as a duty gun, and the adjustable sights on the Baer might not be the best choice for a defense gun. Personally, I also like the idea of a new gun, especially if it's in that price range.

But like you said, ignoring the bit about the light rail, the Professional has a tougher sight setup, better warranty, proven track record (not that Baer doesn't, but the Professional has the FBI thing going for it), and arguably a slightly-better finish.
