"WOW" I really don't know what to say other than the homeowner did good. It sounds like the intruder was deranged and on more than just drinking. Home owner did what he had to do to protect his family and he did it.

Scenario shooting...

.....we have run this exact same scenario several times over the years in Survivor Series which you can see at www.majorwaldron.com by clicking on Survivor Series and Tactical Practice.

The one thing we would never teach however is to confront someone with an unloaded gun like this guy initially did. Another potentially harmful mistake that isn't in this edition of the paper but was in the first article...the husband had a bumper sticker on his car to the effect of "Gun Control Means Using Two Hands". The press picked right up on that and it was in the paper. If you have any stickers, NRA or otherwise that denotes you are a shooter...think about it.
