I just purchased a box of this stuff for a good price. Anyone have any experience with it. I'm hoping that it isn't too dirty. Any info on 230 grain muzzle velocity would also be greatly appreciated.

Not bad stuff. Can usually be had pretty cheap. I usually buy Fiocchi (sp?) because it is a little cleaner than S&B.

Grayowl, S & B 230gr FMJ is good stuff. I chronographed 10 rounds of S & B about a week ago. Average velocity from my 5" Colt 1991A1 was 813.5 feet per second. High was 838.1 fps, and low was 796.5 fps. I've shot several boxes of this stuff with no problems whatsoever. I reload the brass with no problems. I can't tell much difference in cleanliness from any other commercial load. Hope this helps.

Ditto on the S&B. Great for blasting. Not super accurate beyond 50 feet. Clean enough, reliable, and brass reloads well. Natchez usually has pretty good price.

I've shot a lot of the stuff in .45 for practice. I'd say it's pretty good stuff, if a little dirty. I'd avoid their rifle ammo though, as the bullets don't pass the "magnet test".

I use S&B almost exclusively. Good ammo, although a little dirty; but the price is hard to beat (About $180 a case).

Shot a boxfull yesterday at twenty five yards. Where'd that ten ring go? Found it to be as dirty as Winchester but $3.50 cheaper per 50 rounds. I get mine at Cheaper Than Dirt in Ft. Worth. All that, and reloadable brass too. Remember Pearl Harbor and the Chosin Reservoir.

.45 Auto PMP Ammo. 220gr. 846fps. FMJ Boxer Primed, non-corrosive $169.87 to your door.
CENTURY INTERNATIONAL ARMS
Runs great in 5" Government model and Officers model. Same visible dirtiness as the S&B ammo.

Wow! That's a great prices. Do they have a website? How about just a phone number? Has anyone else used this brand of ammo?

PMP is also sold by DILLON.

According to some, that's a recommendation in and of itself.

Dillon describes it as Made in South Africa.

PMC used to be made in South Korea, otherwise I don't get the earlier reference to Pearl Harbor and Chosin Reservoir. We (the USA) lost both of these battles pretty badly, right? Is there a less obscure way of making your point?

I'm lost as well. Unless PMC is owned by the japanese, I don't get that connection at all.

If we were English, the Chosin Reservoir would be as famous as Dunkirk, and to the Marines it is. The chinese were after us that time, so I'm still confused as to the connection since the stuff is conected to south korea (that would be the "good" koreans).

As it is, in this country most people don't bother with stuff like history just in case they might actually learn something. They can turn on the tube and be told what to think, and that's so much easier for persons with sheeplike natures.

I copied the page and pasted it here because you can’t get into the dealer section without a password to see prices. You must have a current FFL on file to order from them. C&R FFL is just fine.
All prices are to your door, the price you see is the price you pay.

I bought 200 rounds of S&B with my new Champion. It's accurate enough and no malfunctions with the stuff, but shooting at an indoor range the smoke was so thick I could taste it! Came back to this sight after my range trip and the first thread I came to was talking about lead poisioning.... great.

It's good stuff for the price, but I much prefer UMC for range work. The local gunshows sometimes have it for $10 per box.

1st time I've use the stuff and shot 200 rounds through my Kimber Classic Custom and it never missed a beat, and my Kimber is a little finiky......

Well, it is getting less finiky, since I've put about 1,000 to 1,200 rounds through it. My groups just keep getting better and better.

I just bought my second case of the stuff. It chews out the 10 ring at 10 yards every time and my pistol seems to love it. At 15 yards I still get very nice groups (for me, anyway)<g>. I do get a little weirded out when the red sealant stains my patches as I'm cleaning around the firing pin hole, but that's no biggie.

I got mine from Ammoman (I'm in Texas so I'd have to pay sales tax to CTD); the price and delivery time was all I could hope for.
