10 people have been killed in a Lunar New Year shooting near LA : NPR

Watching "Face the Nation" this morning and they lead off the program with this story. The reporter was more interested on informing viewers, "We don't know what type of a weapon was used". Like that mattered to the victims. He then went on to say the shooter wasn't in custody and they didn't know how they had acquired the weapon. He explained they needed to know where he got the weapon so they could determine if this was a "Hate Crime".

He informed the viewers that it was "unlikely" this was a deranged individual, "because they usually commit suicide after the shooting". Thank you, Mr. Expert. Today's major media can't just report the news without adding their own opinions and agendas.

A reasonable person, someone capable of deductive thinking, should by now see how these "super restrictive" gun laws are doing very little to halt or even slow gun violence, this plan isn't working, what should we do now. Instead, the anti-gun crowd thinks even more restrictive gun laws are needed. Hey, Mr. Liberal Anti-2A person, criminals and people with mental problems don't care what your laws say. However, reason and deductive thinking is beyond the average leftist liberal.

Most of the "the media" will report the race of the alleged shooter immediately if they are white. I agree that worrying about what type of weapon was used does not matter to the victims. Also, if people are murdered, worrying about calling it a hate crime is less important than arresting the criminal and seeing that justice is served. Mass killings should be a Federal offense that includes the Federal death penalty.

Just like the MLK day shooting in Florida. Ethnic gang violence perpetrated on innocent members of that same ethnic community as they're caught in the cross-fire between two gangs.

Yea, defund the police, eliminate bail requirements, and let repeat offenders roam the streets as they await multiple pending trials for multiple charged violent crimes. Seems to work really well for minorities in Democrat controlled cities.

Have you noticed that the Left/Democrats/Progressives/Marxists ignore gang violence? Instead they propose laws and regulations that will only affect law abiding citizens (my guess is that Democrats know their constituency).
The Left/Democrats/Progressives/Marxists came up with the misleading term "gun violence". They even promoted June 3, 2022, as National Gun Violence Awareness Day. Most of the deaths counted in their total are suicides. A couple of years ago it was over two-thirds suicides, but gang violence has increased so murders account for a larger share now.

They also have misleadingly defined a "Mass Shooting" as any shooting by an individual where four (4) or more people are shot. Really 4? That is a multi-day occurrence in Chicago. To have real meaning a mass shooting should have to reach double digits so that it is NOT a common occurrence in inner cities.

My point is that the Left/Democrats/Progressives/Marxists authoritarian agenda requires them to lie, tell half truths, and omit objective facts. The Left/Democrats/Progressives/Marxists reject any blame for the inner city murder rate in cities that the Democrats have controlled for over half a century.

Clearly, they need to pass a law in California that makes using a firearm to kill someone a felony. this will be interesting to see how this rolls out.
