10 people have been killed in a Lunar New Year shooting near LA : NPR

Watching "Face the Nation" this morning and they lead off the program with this story. The reporter was more interested on informing viewers, "We don't know what type of a weapon was used". Like that mattered to the victims. He then went on to say the shooter wasn't in custody and they didn't know how they had acquired the weapon. He explained they needed to know where he got the weapon so they could determine if this was a "Hate Crime".

He informed the viewers that it was "unlikely" this was a deranged individual, "because they usually commit suicide after the shooting". Thank you, Mr. Expert. Today's major media can't just report the news without adding their own opinions and agendas.

How many of the victims were able to get a CCW license for their own protection... don't answer its a rhetorical statement. We all know the answer that probably and very likely none would have been able to obtain a CCW license for their self-defense in LA.

Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t say anyone was ridiculing the victims. Yes I know(as does everyone here) how screwed up CA gun laws are. My point was the subject immediately ‘devolved’ into a political rant, without much mention of the victims.

It’s obviously time to outlaw guns in liberal big cities! I think the cops should shoot anyone brandishing a weapon in such places!🤐

Here's another that just hit the news and was immediately reported with the inclusion of the CA event:

NBC:: Luisiana Night Club Shooting

Took about 30 seconds with Mr. Google to check out the location, Dior Lounge & Club, find their event advertising, and observe that the event was hosted by "Da Real Music Boy" with event security provided by "Gudh A** Derrick" and "Mr Die Litt" (no doubt a security outfit that rates right up there with Blackwater...). The event posters just reinforce all the stereotypes you might imagine from the names.

Make your own conclusions, but to me this sounds like just another gang-on-gang shooting with a bunch of hangers-on and other associated people caught in the cross-fire.

I'm really starting to believe that the Dems have come to believe that this is a form of population and welfare control and their own spin on managing crime. Wash their hands of it all and let Darwinism take its course. As long as the Dems can continue to buy the votes of inner-city dwellers with taxpayer money, they simply don't give a rat's patootie how many of these ethnic minorities kill each other.

My point is that the Left/Democrats/Progressives/Marxists authoritarian agenda requires them to lie, tell half truths, and omit objective facts. The Left/Democrats/Progressives/Marxists reject any blame for the inner city murder rate in cities that the Democrats have controlled for over half a century.

They take guns away from law abiding citizens and do nothing about gang violence and wonder why things are not getting better. I remember when a major item in elections was "Law and Order".
It is time for that again.

But wait, the word in the street is that the shooter lived down the street from a guy whose brother in law worked in a sporting goods store that was owned by a guy that was suspected of being sympathetic to a white supremacist.

It is very hard not to get cynical or jaded regarding these shootings. The media seeks to reap the most by sensationalizing it, throwing out buzz words like "assault weapon" and "hate crime". They then marginalize the victims. This was a very tragic event. From what little real facts the media has chosen to release, the crowd was more likely than not, far older than most people envision when "Dance Hall" is mentioned. The photo of the shooter, if in fact they have that right, seems to show he was of the same ethnic group. What will they use to try to make this into a racist hate crime? One must take a deep breath, sort through what facts that have been released, and send prayers for those who died.

I'm not trying to be crass, but everytime I hear of one of these crimes I think "another example of gun control laws that don't stop crime."
I mean, I know that stopping crimes is not the point of gun control, disarming citizens is, but as long as they are going to hide behind the crime excuse, I say point out every time it fails until they self-destruct from critical mass of cognitive dissonance.
I mean, here in VA a six year old kid found a way to circumvent 'gun free zones' at schools...

The media goes out of their way to hide stories that don't fit the narrative of right wing organizations spreading hatred or that MAGA types are the sole source of violence. When it involves the left engaged in violent acts, it gets minimal air time. In Atlanta, there was an anti-cop, defund the cops, antifa style protest that turned violent. They burned police cars, smashed store windows, and violently destroyed an area of downtown Atlanta. Most of the rioters were spoiled White kids that hate cops... reminiscent of the riots we saw a few years ago in the Pacific Northwest where the antifa crowd took over the streets.

Story barely made the news... only FOX had detail coverage of what these punks were doing.

The shooter was a 72 year old Asian man. So now even senior citizens are going nuts and going on shooting rampages?!?

Police have said that they "don't believe an assault rifle was used". Assuming they're correct it was probably a semi-auto pistol, likely limited to ten rounds. Once news of that gets out wait for the Dems to start calling for a ban on anything holding more than 5 rounds.
