Just curious if anyone else goes through moods or phases with guns. I've been spending a lot of time shooting my 1911s and Euro Autos, but decided to dig out my neglected revolvers today. I dug out both my Cowboy guns (SAAs, Outlaw, and Schofield (all repros)) as well as my 2 1/2" and 4" S&W M66s. Just something about shooting them Cowboys guns just helps me relax.
I carry a Sig 2340 and noticed that I've been rushing through the DA pull of my Sig lately so I decided to go back to basics and go back to my S&Ws to get my DA trigger pull back. I learned how to shoot with a S&W revolver so it helps me to get back to my fundamentals. And to top it off, I walked into a local gun shop after I finished shooting and saw a good looking S&W M686 6" that I'm really pondering picking up.
So my shooting moods include a 1911, a Cowboy, a DA Revolver, a Euro gun (H&K, Beretta, Sig DA/SA), a Glock, and a Rifle mood.
