I think I got a couple from CDNN Investments for $11 each. Their shipping is high, so buy a lot of them.

You guys should look where Trapmonkey is posting from "Singapore". I think by the time Midway, Natchez, Cheaper Than Dirt or any other US mail order house ships the mags he will be paying at least $24.00 per mag. He might as well get them for that price brom his local source.

When you're right you're right - didn't even notice - shipping would probably east it up, unless you're going to get a fiar number of them (6 or 8?)

Thanks maddog. Looks like 24 bucks is an ok deal.Yeah i'm gonna get a few for a springfield milspec from the 80's that i am taking over. Its been customed up a bit with a narrow front sight, match trigger breaking at 3.5pounds, checkering all over, 2 chamber comp, ambi safety and bomar adjustables. Its been drilled and tapped for alchin mounts, but i can't get along with red dots, so i'll leave them off.

Its coming with two wilson 8 rounders, but they are really expensive here. I think shooting star are a good compromise as i have tested 3 different shooting stars and they all function in the gun fine. shooting 185 grain swc /tmjs from cci and 200 grain cci combat match.

funny thing is gun doesn't lock back on empty on any kind of mags, maybe worn slide release, i'll have a closer look when i get it in my possession.

Ha ha can't wait my first proper 1911 in .45 cal.

been shooting a 686-1 wheelgun.

Trapmonkey -

Don't get rid of that 686. I had a 2 1/2" 686 about twenty years ago and I traded it. Sorry I did, as it would make a fine backup gun. Had a hankering for another wheel gun so I found a new 3" stainless 696 in 44 special at a great price to go along with my 2" .357 mag model 60.

What are the gun laws like in singapore? Is there any such thing as CCW?

no guys sorry there ain't nothing like CCW. "shall issue" is not a phrase you hear out this way. Having said that i have no limit on my mag capacity, i just can't keep my gun at home. suits me fine as the country is very safe, if a little sterile.

We shoot clays and olympic as well as IPSC and just plink casually as well. no full bore centrefire rifle, but pretty much everything else.

guns are expensive and so is ammo, but we get along fine. I expend about 200+ rounds a week. Factory loads only we are not allowed to roll our own.

ps maddog like your signature ! really funny!
