My local range has a BHP with target sights, blued with standard wood grips. It has been in the case for quite awhile on consigmnent. The serial number is: T201xxx, which according to the BHP forum pegs manufacture in 1967. The bluing looks 90%+. Bore looks good. The trigger has an add-on "shoe". Trigger pull is in the 4-5 pound range, clean break with substantial takeup. Magazine disconnect is still in place. Lots of movement in the slide, side to side, when the gun is in battery. Of course, it was empty...no loaded magazine and no round in the chamber.
Is this one of the vaunted "T" Series guns I hear are so desirable?
They are asking $499.
Is this a good price?
If so, what should I check out on the pistol before buying it?
Thanks!
