If the shooter is Classified in SSP but not ESP then he or she must shoot in their highest Classification.
"A competitor may compete in club matches in a division he/she does not have
a classification in, provided they compete in the highest classification
they presently hold."
I think it is fair because of the differing nature of the divisons equipment. Although you can shoot a Glock in ESP, it's probably not quite the same as using a .38 Super 1911 with 9mm Largo loads.
I'm a Master in SSP, but 98.35 only makes Expert in ESP. When I shot the Classifier with my 19L in ESP I only made Expert.
