The Sig 229 is a great firearm thats accurate, dependable, and feels good in the hand.
The us secret servise carrys a SIG 229 chambered in .357sig and you can swap between a .40 and a .357sig with only a barrel change.

I was looking for a handgun in .40. I bought a BHP and It was a sweet shooter but I guess I got bored with it and went for a usp in 40. Pretty nice but the da stroked screwed with me.

So I decided to get a 1911 and customize it, while I was without the gun, I bought a sig 229 in .40 to tide me over...

Now I shot this thing and I was very impressed. Smoothest .40 Ive ever shot, and just about as accurate (if not more) than the browning. One of the few stock guns I regret getting rid of(had to to pay for customizing!).
Its great in every way!(except for that solution to a problem that never existed i.e. da/sa stroke).

k.s.
