Hi, I bought my 3rd Kimber thursday and for the first time the # on the inside of the slide and the SN don't match. Is that normal? This was bought new from a dealer and is a Pro Carry 2. Thanks

I dont know if this is a posobility but. The number on the slide might be the batch number. I know on my UC II the numbers match but they could have changed that.:scratch:

The slide and frame #s do not need to match. Sometimes when going through the production line if the slide has problems they will just change it out right then. The frame serial number is the only numbers that matter anyway, such as if you buy a caspian frame and use say a colt side that you have! prefectly fine to do that.

Botttom line is that it is no be deal.

Thanks, The reason I was really wondering is that earlier that day I had looked at a obvious mismatch that someone was trying to pass off as a production gun. The numbers didn't match but that wasn't the giveaway. Anyways thanks.
