While the slide in in the mill doing my Novak sight cuts, and I have to re-park it, I figured I might as well add the flair. From what I have read I should use a 3/4 ball end cutter and I'll be using my Yavapi slide holder. My question is two fold, I have a 5/8 ball end and a .700 ball end in stock, is the 3/4 absolutely necessary? Also where to center the cut with the slide angled in the slide holder. From what I see (in photos) it looks like the cut is centered on the angle break from the side to where the slide starts to curve up. Meaning with a dead center at that point lock my Y and as I enter using X will I be in the right place.
Please excuse if I made my question confusing.
Thank you, Wayne
