So I was at the range the other day shooting my EMP, and twice the slide didn't lock back on empty. This was twice in about 100 rounds, about 11 mags worth. Is this kind of thing usually due to the mag not pushing the slide stop up enough, or could it be caused by something else? I'll check the fit of the mags against the slide stop later today.

weak mag springs or your follower is missing the contact point maybe.

Dave's right on target. I'd be looking real hard at the mag spring/follower.

The first two replies are probably right but also check to see if the slide release is rubbing the notch in the magazine. I had this problem with Wilson mags in my trophy match. A little file work on the magazines and everything works great.
