I wondering if anyone knows of a smith that will scallop the cocking serrations. I've seen numerous smiths that will do front straps and mainspring housings, but not the slide. I can email the smiths themselves but I'd like to get some recomendations first. More inputs the better.

check out louderthanwords.com,go to "custom firearms photo gallery", then check out Stan Chen's work. Keep in mind that this group of smiths are usually booked at least a year out. I waited over a year for my Gold Cup trail gun, done to absolute perfection by C.T.Brian--worth every second of the wait.

Regarding the LTW smiths.

One has a 4 - 5 year wait (I'm on his list)

the other isn't taking any new orders for guns

Yes , and Yost-Bonitz handles orders in less than 9 months , or at least they did mine . John Harrison at Precision-Gunworks does fabulous work and still is offering quick turn around . Be sure to check with them...Tom
