Don't know what happened to my other posting. I'll try again. Could it be that the "R" simply just didn't completely get marked? Or, did the rollmarked "R" break in the process of marking? Interesting.

your other post is on the general board probably! It looks like the die broke just as this gun was being done... it's not like there's even a light imprint...
I had two of them both were 80's ser. in brite stainless.
Not consecutive numbers.
Sold one to a friend and kept one for ccw.
Great for conversation anyway.
