When it comes time to replace springs on my RZ, what poundage are the factory springs. I'm guessing the recoil spring is 20# but would like to know for sure to keep everything in factory specs. TIA--hope this is the right forum for this question but it is a DW...V

Please bear with me. Variable?? Isnt that like a double spring?? Like where it starts out less poundage and gets heavier when the slide comes back>? Like in my Cold Defender? In my RZ its just one straight coil spring of the same size like any standard .45. Sorry if I'm missing something. My luck its probably something real simple lol....

A variable is a single spring with a progressive wind to it. On dirt bikes, they are called "progressive" springs. They function as you have stated, offering progressively greater resistance as the spring is compressed, at least to a point.
