Let us know how it shoots, ok? I think it's really cool of Springfield to offer this particular model, as I'm sure they know it will not too many people's idea of "the bee's knees", aesthetics-wise. Somehow, if I had one of those, it would doubtless get inadvertently scratched up some, to my great annoyance. There must be a part of Murphy's Law which states: "If one of Brian's guns suffers a ding or scratch, it will be the best-looking one he owns at the time."
I really want a .38 Super 1911, and I was considering this Springfield. Its very refreshing as my life is filled with "tactical black" 1911s, however Its a little tooo flashy for me with the cheesy fake mother of pearl grips. Maybe some nice DD rosewood grips?
