I recently bought a new Springfield Loaded Full-Size 1911-A1 and am wondering whether the barrel is throated for JHP bullets. I assume it is, but I just want to make sure. Also, what JHP's do you recommend for these pistols?
I am a huge Glock fan, but there is something artistic and classic about the 1911-A1 pistol that I just love.

A good starting point may be Remington Golden Sabers... No feeding problems with them in any of my 1911s. But try a few different kinds out to see what your specific gun likes.

I am 99% sure they come throated for HP's. My favorite hp is the 230gr Federal Hydra Shok. This round has a very good rep. BTW don't get the Personal Protection ones, I hear they are not as good. Hope you like your new Springfield.:)
