Tomorrow I'll be picking up a very lightly used Springfield armory loaded 1911. Only thing that has been modified on the pistol is the ambi safety was changed out for just a right handed one.
It may be for right handed shooters. But I'm a left handed shooter. This will be getting a Wilson Combat ambidextrous safety installed, and will see mainly range use, and night stand storage.
Not bad at all. It'll look pretty good once you replace that safety with a blued ambi safety. I'm a lefty too and had a Wilson ambi safety installed on my Compact. Works perfect for me.
Yeah. I may contact Springfield and see what they would charge me to send them the pistol have them install a factory ambi safety back on it and have the custom shop do a trigger job on it. The trigger seems a little on the heavy side compared to my scorpion.
Very handsome gun. I'm right handed, and sometimes consider swapping my ambi safety for a single-sided one. Do what you need to do, and enjoy this nice firearm.
Ordered some simple Wilson Combat grips for it today.
