Steve Tarani in Michigan

928 4
On January 28-29 Triad Tactical Training will be hosting Steve Tarani in Troy, Michigan.

Steve will be teaching his Improvised Weapons class which covers a wide range of defensive skills, none of which requires a martial arts background. If you haven’t had a chance to take a class with Steve yet you owe it to yourself. Steve is a highly skilled instructor and all around nice guy.

Highly Recommended

If you're in the Michigan neighborhood (or can get there), you will be glad you signed up for training with Steve Tarani. He's a gentleman of the first order, knows his stuff, and will be sure that you know it, too. Soft-spoken, and doesn't push students beyond their individual physical limits.

Those of you approaching 6'4" or so like him are more likely to find yourselves being his demonstrator ("meat puppet" if you're dealing with training knives) - always an interesting experience. :)

Over the holidays, I'll finish up a report with more of these photos that I've started from his Universal Disarm class at Southern Exposure in October - first rate training.

My report from an Edged Weapons/Karambit hybrid class earlier this year (my first class with him) is here:

Excellent post and thanks for the pictures.

I know funds are tight this time of year but if you can make the drive to the Detroit area and want to round out your defensive training Steve is worth the time and expense. The deposit and total cost are very modest when compared to a live fire course.

I used to have a "gun" response mindset but since taking courses with Steve my entire way of approaching potential defensive scenarios has changed- for the better I believe.

And it's a good thing too, because Steve is, quite possibly, the most dangerous man I know. Definitely the type you do not want to have unhappy with you. :)

Hello everyone:

We still have openings for this Tarani class.

I've gotten a look at the place we'll be hosting this class and its really nice with lots of room to work.

Drive over and join us- again, if you haven't trained with Steve yet you're missing out. I know you don't get to play with your favorite handgun in a class like this but you'll forget about that as soon as the class starts- guaranteed!
