I've understand that it's best to use magazines with a non metal follower to avoid damage to the aluminum frame. Is this correct? BTW, the gun shoots. Very accurate. One FTF on the last round with the Kimber mag. Otherwise no problem in 300 rounds. Thanks in advance.

If you're having a problem with metal followers, the Wilson mags have a plastic follower. Also, the Metalform mag with the round metal follower should not be a problem as the follower can not move forward due to its design. Those two mags (Wilson and Metalform) happen to be my two favorites in terms of quality and reliability.
