I've been replacing stock Colt Grips w/ the slim/thin Chip McC.'s rosewoods. On one of my Series 80's Colts, one of the bushings was simply sitting (tighly) in the Frame - the hole IS NOT TAPPED (so much for Colt quality control in 1985)! Does anyone know the tap/thread dimensions so that I can get the grips installed properly?

Thanks & regards,

Roger

Hi Roger,
I don't know the dimensions, but I do know that Brownells' sells a kit to repair the frame. It consists of a set of bushings, and the tap. I think it costs about $35.

Thanks for your help - I should have figured Brwnells would have a solution - but I'm glad you did. I'm ordering the kit tonight!

Best regards,

Roger
