The optimum taper crimp diameter consensus for the 45 ACP seems to be in the .4690" to .4710" range.

What is the optimum taper crimp diameter range for the 9mm? Thanks.

recommend 0.000" to -0.002".

9mm Luger brass has lots of variation in thickness, so giving a fixed number for it does not always apply.

I haven't shot lead bullets in 9mm Luger in a long time.
I think I would be more careful with lead bullets.

For jacketed & plated:
Often I set it up at 0.379" but I'm not a stickler. I don't mind if its .002" larger.

I just crimp enough to remove the flare. I probably haven't meaured the crimp on a handgun round over two or three times in several hundred thousand rounds loaded. :)
